The Focused on Fitness...and Fun! Story (so far)
Focused on Fitness...and Fun! started as a hobby.
We were just a pallet down the side of the house covered by an old blue tarp - a few sets of dumbbells, plates and bikes.

We started to notice a growing lack of customer satisfaction with many of the big stores.
Nearly 30 years in the fitness and games retail industry, and a love of customer service, has proven to be a powerful edge in the current retail market.
Several long term wholesale relationships as well as many newly formed ones have allowed us to move to the next level and register a business - Focused on Fitness...and Fun! was formally born!

With the continued support of many loyal customers and industry leaders, off we went.
Figuring out how to run a small business was the next step. Converting the family shed into a (very small) warehouse, the next.
Original customers will know that the car port became the point of sale, the family car moved to the street and 2 new sheds were built to increase storage.

The business has evolved greatly, since it's start. Learning to sell what my customers want, rather than what I want to sell, was the hardest lesson to learn.
We're no longer a fitness store, specifically. Now we order in fitness gear as requested, and instead advertise ourselves as a store focusing on Cue Sports and Darts - with a little Table Tennis thrown in for good measure.

To us, it's all Fitness and Fun! You can make up your own mind which is which.

We now have a permanent stall, every Sunday, at the Akoonah Park Market in Berwick - Shed A3, S308 & S309. You'll always find me there between the hours of 8am and 1:30pm. It's now very common for me to bring in special orders for collection in Berwick, for those further out customers.

A relaxed, easy going and very personalised service is what you'll find at Focused on Fitness...and Fun!
